1. Choose the face you want to use
Open Create and choose a clear source portrait from Photos or your saved face library. A sharp, well-lit portrait with a visible face is a useful starting point. Keep this face is optional: use it only if you want the portrait in your local face library for later.
2. Bring in the target video
Choose your video from Photos or Files. If it is stored only in iCloud, make it available locally first. Start with a short clip and one clearly visible face while you check your source image and settings.
3. Compare the automatic preview
When the face and video are selected, Swapeno prepares a swapped preview automatically. Use the original/swap button to compare both versions, and move through the video to inspect other frames. Choose which people to replace when there is more than one face in the scene.
4. Export and use Speed up if needed
Tap Export video. Unpaid users see the Pro purchase screen; previews remain free. During processing, progress, estimated time, FPS and memory usage are shown. When Speed up is available, tap it and confirm the quality tradeoff. It reduces the processing work for remaining frames; speed depends on the device, media and settings.
5. Save and review the finished video
Completed exports save automatically to Photos when permission allows. You can save the current result to Photos again or choose Files. If a save fails, keep the session open and retry. The app does not keep a target-media or export history, so save a result before replacing or resetting the creation.
Common questions
Does Speed up change the whole video instantly?
No. It reduces processing work for the frames that remain after the current frame finishes. The app asks you to confirm the quality tradeoff, and it does not promise a fixed FPS or completion time.
Does Swapeno change my original video?
Swapeno creates a separate result. Keep your original media if you want to edit it again; saved copies are managed by Photos or Files.
Do I need an account or extra model downloads?
No Swapeno account or separate model download is needed. Models may need initial preparation on your device. Purchases and restores use your Apple Account and require internet access.
